Dr Tom Jenkins
Private GP | Sports Medicine & Musculoskeletal Doctor
Dr Tom Jenkins is an experienced private GP and musculoskeletal (MSK) doctor with over 25 years’ experience in sports and exercise medicine. He holds MRCGP and MFSEM qualifications and has worked extensively in elite sport, including over two decades as a team doctor for British Rowing.
Alongside comprehensive private GP consultations, Dr Jenkins specialises in diagnosing and treating joint pain, osteoarthritis, tendon conditions and sports injuries in patients of all ages and activity levels.
He provides detailed musculoskeletal assessments, diagnostic ultrasound, rehabilitation advice and advanced non-surgical treatments, including corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. His approach combines accurate diagnosis with personalised treatment to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility and return to their everyday activities.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) Consultations
Sports and musculoskeletal medicine focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments. You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit — these consultations are suitable for anyone experiencing joint pain, arthritis, persistent tendon problems or sports-related injuries.
Initial MSK Consultation — 45 minutes
A comprehensive assessment of your symptoms, medical history and musculoskeletal condition, with examination, discussion of diagnosis and a personalised management plan. Further investigations, imaging or injection treatments may be recommended where appropriate.
Follow-Up MSK Consultation — 30 minutes
A review of your symptoms, progress and response to treatment, with adjustments to your rehabilitation or management plan where necessary.
Joint injections and additional investigations are arranged separately where clinically appropriate and may incur additional fees.

Dr Rachel Jakeman is an experienced GP working across NHS and private practice, providing comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages. Alongside general GP consultations, she has particular interests in women’s and men’s health, menopause, hormonal and menstrual conditions, metabolic health and preventative medicine.
Combining her medical experience with a background in coaching and healthcare advocacy, Dr Jakeman takes a personalised, whole-person approach to patient care. She supports patients with everyday medical concerns as well as more complex health needs, including menopause and perimenopause, menstrual disorders, weight management and mental wellbeing.
Her approach focuses on understanding each patient’s individual circumstances, providing clear medical advice and developing practical, personalised treatment plans.

Where clinically appropriate, further investigations can be arranged to help establish a diagnosis and guide your ongoing care.
This may include access to blood testing and diagnostic imaging such as MRI, CT, ultrasound and X-ray, as well as onward referral to an appropriate specialist consultant where required.
